Give Thanks

"Give Thanks"
"Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the
will of God for you in Christ Jesus."
I Thessalonians 5:18

We are instructed in the above verse to give thanks
"in" all circumstances, not "for" all circumstances.
It is a reminder that no matter what we may be
experiencing in our life, that God is always
present. We can give thanks for that presence as our
comfort and guide.

Meister Eckhart, 13th Century mystic, said "God is
always at home, it is we who have gone for a walk."
God is always at home in us, even though we may feel
separate from God.

Let us pray:
Living, loving Presence, we go within and connect
with You. Thank You that You are always present.
You are my comfort and guide. I am grateful. Thank
You, God. Amen.
