"Affirmative Prayer"

"Affirmative prayer is not the hope
that things will get better but the
certainty that they already are better.
God is already here...We look past
appearances, ignore outer
circumstances, and affirm the truth
of God in every situation."
       -Ellen Debenport

Most of us have been taught in the
past to speak about our needs and
then to beg for the outcome that we
want.

As our quote states affirmative
prayer is recognizing that God is
already here, and because God is
already here things are better now.

It is up to us to look past what is
happening, and to affirm that the
One Power, One Presence is fully
here, and knows what all of our
circumstances are.

God is within us and surrounds
us.  We know this when we center
ourselves and go within.

Affirmative prayer is about
surrendering and trusting that
there is much more happening
then what our limited vision is
taking in.  And, what is happening
is Go-od.

Affirmative prayer releases our
desire for something to happen
in a particular way, and holds for
the highest and greatest outcome
for all.

"This or something better," is a
good way to end your time of
asking.

Sometimes we think our prayers
are not answered, but it may
just be that our prayer was
answered in a way that was not
what we thought we wanted.

My desire has been for healing
in my family.  I had no idea that
it would come about through
my own hospitalization.

I am grateful for infinite are God's
channels, and miraculous are
God's ways.

What do your own prayers sound
like?  Are you willing to let go of
certain outcomes?

Remember God is always right
here, right where you are at all
times.

Let Us Pray:
We go within and connect with
Living, Loving Presence.  We
affirm that all things are now
working together for our Good,
and for the Good of all those
we pray for.  We are grateful.
Amen.

I'm so grateful for prayer
support over my recent time
in the hospital.  I affirm that
everything is at work for my
Go-od.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Light and Love,
Sandy
