"Like a Ride"

"Life is like a ride. It's full of twists
and turns; it's colorful and bright;
and it's fun for awhile. But, people
forget it's just a ride. So, don't be
worried ever, because it's just a
ride, and you can make it better
anytime you want."  -Bill Hicks

The quote kind of reminds me of
a wild ride on a roller coaster at an
amusement park.

(It's hard for me to believe that I
used to love riding on them.)

It's possible to be so involved in
the twists and turns, and highs and
lows that you can forget it's just a
ride.

Our life is like a ride. The events
sometime seem like they pass
quickly, especially when you are
having fun.

Then when things happen that you
would rather not be experiencing,
they seem to drag on forever.

As one of my mentors used to say,
"this too has come to pass."

Whether it's labeled good or bad,
"it has come to pass."

Living in the present moment, and
accepting "what is" helps to release
situations, and say "this too has
come to pass.

Let Us Pray:
Going within we are grateful for
this gift of the present. We are not
alone. We celebrate, and affirm
"life is a ride, and it has come to
pass." And, so it is, and, so we let
it be. Amen.

I started back to work part time
this past week. It feels good. Thank
you for your prayers.

Enjoy the ride,
Sandy

"Darkness into Light"

"We are to remember that the Light
shines in the darkness, and that in
the very midst of the darkness, man's
mind opens to the Light, and for him
there is no more darkness."
    -Myrtle Fillmore

Two Marys were on the way to the
tomb to prepare the body of Jesus
for burial.

They had experienced darkness
when their beloved teacher and
friend had died on Friday.

It was a time of mourning for these
ladies with an expectation of only
further darkness.

When they arrived at the tomb the
stone was rolled away from the
entrance, and the body of Jesus
was no longer there.

According to the the story in Mark
a young man dressed in a white
robe was there, and instructed
them not to be alarmed because
Jesus has been raised.

Metaphysically the empty tomb
represents freedom, peace, and
joy as the stone holding us to old
thought patterns sets us free.

We rejoice.  We are grateful.

Let Us Pray:
Consciously we go within, and
connect with Spirit.  We rejoice
in the freedom that is ours as
the stone of old thoughts and
ways of being is rolled away. We
are grateful.  And, so it is, and,
so we let it be.  Amen.

Happy Easter,
Sandy

"Broken Open"

"As we are broken open by our
experience, we begin to be grateful
for what is, and if we live long
enough...gratitude becomes a way
of life."  Mark Nepo

If life was a bed of thorn-free roses
we would all be pretty lifeless.

From the time we are born we have
to begin lessons: turning over,
sitting up, crawling, and walking are
some of the few lessons we learn.

In the midst of our experience it
may be challenging to see it as
something for which we can be
grateful.

A look in the mirror often gives us
20-20 hindsight, and we see how
the situation helped us to stretch
and grow.  Then we are thankful.

Each time we are able to give
thanks sooner for what is happening,
and to look for the good, gratitude
becomes easier.

Gratitude helps us to release our
negative beliefs.

Gratitude brings relief, joy, and the
peace that passes all understanding.

Becoming grateful takes a willingness
to look for the Good, and to change
our mind about the circumstances.

A choice for gratitude will break us
open and free us from resentment
and fear.

Once again it comes down to what
we choose.

Let Us Pray:
Consciously we connect with Love.
We feel Love.  We trust Divine Love
in every circumstance, and give
thanks for Love that is fully Present
at all times.  We are blessed. Amen.

There can be thorns among the roses.
We can support each other as we
experience the pain, and go forth
in gratitude.

Warm wishes,
Sandy

"Affirmative Prayer"

"Affirmative prayer is not the hope
that things will get better but the
certainty that they already are better.
God is already here...We look past
appearances, ignore outer
circumstances, and affirm the truth
of God in every situation."
       -Ellen Debenport

Most of us have been taught in the
past to speak about our needs and
then to beg for the outcome that we
want.

As our quote states affirmative
prayer is recognizing that God is
already here, and because God is
already here things are better now.

It is up to us to look past what is
happening, and to affirm that the
One Power, One Presence is fully
here, and knows what all of our
circumstances are.

God is within us and surrounds
us.  We know this when we center
ourselves and go within.

Affirmative prayer is about
surrendering and trusting that
there is much more happening
then what our limited vision is
taking in.  And, what is happening
is Go-od.

Affirmative prayer releases our
desire for something to happen
in a particular way, and holds for
the highest and greatest outcome
for all.

"This or something better," is a
good way to end your time of
asking.

Sometimes we think our prayers
are not answered, but it may
just be that our prayer was
answered in a way that was not
what we thought we wanted.

My desire has been for healing
in my family.  I had no idea that
it would come about through
my own hospitalization.

I am grateful for infinite are God's
channels, and miraculous are
God's ways.

What do your own prayers sound
like?  Are you willing to let go of
certain outcomes?

Remember God is always right
here, right where you are at all
times.

Let Us Pray:
We go within and connect with
Living, Loving Presence.  We
affirm that all things are now
working together for our Good,
and for the Good of all those
we pray for.  We are grateful.
Amen.

I'm so grateful for prayer
support over my recent time
in the hospital.  I affirm that
everything is at work for my
Go-od.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Light and Love,
Sandy

"Co-Creating"

"In your life and through your hands,
the universe is taking shapes its
never had before." -Katelyn Pauls

Each one of us as individuals are an
important part of creation.

We contribute something that no one
else can add to the mix in exactly
the same way.

When we are called we are seen just
the way we are.  We don't need to be
anything other than who we are.

Authenticity is what is wanted.

Moses told God he didn't have what
it took to be a leader.

Jonah ran away and hid.

Everyone has a choice in how they
respond when they feel they are
being called to use their gifts and
talents.

According to the stories, Moses
went to Egypt and led his people
away from their life of slavery
even though he had thought he
could  not do it.

Jonah went through his own trials
before he finally did what was
asked of him in his story in the
Bible.

Each one of us are being called to
do our part to make a difference.

Are you willing to take up the
challenge?

Let Us Pray:
We consciously go within and
connect with All That Is. We
release any fear.  We trust the
Guidance that is ours.  We are
willing to be a part of shaping
creation.  We say, "Yes!" And,
so it is, and so we let it be.
Amen.

On this adventure we support
one another, and then it is
easier to make those steps that
go beyond our comfort. I'm
grateful for your support.

With Clarity, Focus, Ease, and Grace,
Sandy

"Here I am"

"I am the only one of me the universe
shall ever see. At being who I am, I
have no rival."
    -Katelyn Pauls

When I'm tempted to make comparisons
between myself and someone else, I
need to remind myself that I am a
unique creation of God.

There is no one in the universe
exactly like me.

All I can be is me to the best of my
ability.

I make a difference just because I
exist.

The lives I touch are different than
those of someone else.

My gifts and talents are uniquely
mine, even if they are similar to
those of someone else.

I see the world differently than
someone else and my tasks fit who I
am, and what I can bring.

This message sinks deeply into my
heart as I willingly go with courage
reminded that I am a unique creation
of God.

Let Us Pray:
Consciously we go within. We say,
"Here I am. I remember who I am,
and how unique I am. I am open to
use my gifts and talents. I desire
to make a difference. I am  grateful."
And, so it is, and, so we let it be.
Amen.

Together we celebrate our uniqueness.
Together we do make a difference.

Love and Light,
Sandy

"Question of Love"

"If we measure love received, we will
never feel love. Instead, we will
feel shortchanged. Not because we
really were, but because the act of
measuring is not an act of love.
When you feel unloved, it is not
because you are not receiving love;
it is because you are withholding
love"
    Elisabeth Kubler Ross and
       David Kessler

So often people are "looking for
love in all of the wrong places."

They are waiting for that magic
moment when they "look across the
crowded room" and there is the
one, the answer to our dreams.

How sad that we look outside of
ourselves for completion, and
when we don't find it, then we
don't feel loved.

We are complete. We are whole.

We do not need to look outside
of ourselves for someone else to
complete us.

We are loved for Whose we are.

As we realize the Love that is
ours coming from within us, then
we realize our wholeness.

There is no question regarding
whether or not we are loved.

We give from the Love that we
are, and we see that Love
flowing back to us.

Let Us Pray:
Consciously we go within and
connect with Love. Our heart
expands. We are at peace. We
open ourselves to give Love.
We are grateful.  Amen.

You are Loved. You are special
and I'm grateful for you.

Sending you Love,
Sandy
